LampsThe lamp series is formed of a light-diffusing plastic foil. The lamps are translucent and printed with patterns inspired by light, water, sand and the colours of the rainbow. The series is made of bakelite and polyethylene laminate foil and is fastened with press studs. The lamps are free-standing and can also be hung from the ceiling. They come in two sizes and in several combinations of colours and patterns. It is sold unassembled. |
Dorte Østergaard Jacobsen
b. 1957, Danish Textile Designer
Østergaard Jakobsen graduated from the School of Decorative Art, Department of Textiles in Copenhagen in 1984. She has since supplemented her education with studies in art history at University of Copenhagen and with courses in grap-hic communication at Danmarks Designskole. Her focus is on the adaptation of natural patterns to textile surfaces on for example paper, foil or fabric. She works in three tempi, starting with sketches in pencil or ink. The originals are then adapted digitally to repeats that are printed on lamp foil or home furnishings. |
