The Snake, the Flower & the BiscuitThe Snake, the Flower & the Biscuit is a piece of truly transformational jewellery, whose appearance can be quickly altered by changing the silver clasps. The ornament consists of a felted snake of 100% merino wool with a silver clasp, and may be worn as a necklace or a bracelet, according to the wishes of the wearer. The interchangeable silver clasps include a flower-shaped one as well as various “biscuit”-shapes. |

Laier Henriksen graduated from the College of Arts and Crafts in Kerteminde in 1997 and from the Institute of Precious Metals at the College for Goldsmiths in Copenhagen in 2000. Her latest jewellery centres on the flexibility and changeability of shape, function or colour. The wearer has various options of altering the appearance of the jewellery, making the pieces highly personal. These experiments are based on materials such as silver, felted wool, plexi-glass and silicone that are cast, dyed and made into jewellery in her own studio. | By same artist: |
