Pendant and earringsA pendant made of silver, silk thread and felt. The ornament is shaped like an assemblage of little circles; to suspend it, a silk thread has been drawn through two of these circles and secured with felt balls at either end. This simple and elegant pendant comes in three different colours. Dreyer also presents a series of earrings utilizing the same silver- and enamel circles. Each earring consists of an enamelled silver roundel and a hook, cunningly twisted to fit over the ear, and available in five different colours. |
Anette Dreyer
b. 1967, Danish Silversmith
Dreyer trained as a silversmith at the Georg Jensen Sølvsmedie and was awarded a silver medal for her ""master"" piece in 1996. She also has a degree in jewellery design from the Institute of Precious Metals in Copenhagen. Her hollowware mostly comprises small jugs, bowls and cutlery, and her goal here has been to achieve a simple and unpretentious expression, where the shape underlines the special characteristics of silver. Her jewellery design spans more experimental exhibition projects as well as little series, where form and colour work together to express ornamentation as a symbol, rather than a representative of value. Dreyer’s work has been exhibited at harlottenborgs efterårsudstilling in Copenhagen, and has received several awards, i.a., the Skt. Loye Pris from Kjøbenhavns Guldsmedelaug and Kunsthåndværkerprisen af 1879. |
