MeshMesh is a bracelet consisting of two layers of knitted metal thread. Its light transparent structure is achieved using shimmering colours and glossy reflective thread, and it may be worn either rolled up as a bracelet or partly unrolled to form a cuff. Mesh comes in a range of matching colour combinations. This year Dauv is presenting a Mesh necklace, inlaid with little fluorescent plastic balls, hearts, orange- or lemon slices. It may be worn as one long necklace or doubled to make a shorter one. |
Lisbeth Dauv
b. 1956, Danish Jewellery Designer
Dauv qualified as a landscape architect in 1984 and later trained as a jewellery designer at the College for Goldsmiths in Copenhagen in 1993. Her education as a landscape architect is reflected in the jewellery that makes frequent references to the organic forms of nature. The bracelet Mesh is knitted in the deep green blue colours of the sea, the blue of the sky and the rusty red of the Earth. In the course of just a few years, the bracelet has become a classic in Lisbeth Dauv’s collection and the bracelet was also part of MoMa, Museum of Modern Art’s catalogue for 2003. | By same artist: |
