Cocooning SpoonsCocooning Spoons is a set of long, slender silver spoons for use in hot drinks or smoothies. While creating these elegant spoons, Løvschal kept in mind that the world is a busy place and our subsequent need to snuggle down and cocoon in our homes. The spoons measure 17cm and come specially wrapped.Sterling silver baby spoon. This spoon is an ideal present for a newborn. The shape is inspired by the traditional feeding spoon, with the bowl positioned at a special angle in relation to the handle. The baby spoon comes in beautiful, specially designed wrapping featuring a white pattern on either a pink or a pale blue background. |
Lone Løvschal
b. 1976, Danish Silversmith
Løvschal completed her training at Georg Jensens Sølvsmedie in Copen-hagen in 2001. She went on to take an MA at the Royal College of Art in London, graduating in 2004. She produces cutlery and flatware for our modern lifestyle. She works mainly in silver, believing that the pleasure of a meal is enhanced by the manner in which it is served and consumed. Her aim is to create sensual objects that invite frequent use. Spoons hold a special place in her work not just for their friendly, feminine, almost human appearance, but because they represent everyday life from birth to death. Løvschal’s work has been displayed at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art. She received the Kunsthåndværkerprisen af 1879 silver medal in 2002 in recognition of her work. |
