MESHLisbeth Dauv’s classic bracelet – MESH – is now available in two new color combinations with matching necklaces in either black/gold or purple/sand. MESH is made from a double layer of knitted metal thread. The bracelet has a light, transparent structure, allowing the colors to interplay while the shiny metal thread reflects the light. The bracelet may be worn either rolled up as a bracelet or partly unrolled to form a cuff. Dauv has combined the new black and purple collection with two contrasting colors. The bracelets will display the golden or sand-colored parts as an underlying structure from the insides of the jewelry. The elegant bracelets can be supplemented by two matching necklaces. The black MESH necklace features little plastic slices of orange, while the purple MESH necklace has fluorescent plastic balls that glow in the dark. The necklace can either be worn as a single, long strand or doubled to form a shorter necklace. The jewelry is sold individually but may obviously be combined to form a MESH set. |
Lisbeth Dauv
b. 1956, Danish Jewellery Designer
Dauv qualified as a landscape architect in 1984 and later trained as a jewellery designer at the College for Goldsmiths in Copenhagen in 1993. Her education as a landscape architect is reflected in the jewellery that makes frequent references to the organic forms of nature. The bracelet Mesh is knitted in the deep green blue colours of the sea, the blue of the sky and the rusty red of the Earth. In the course of just a few years, the bracelet has become a classic in Lisbeth Dauv’s collection and the bracelet was also part of MoMa, Museum of Modern Art’s catalogue for 2003. | By same artist: |
