Rigmor Als Jørgensen graduated from the Institute of Industrial Design at Danmarks Designskole in 1993. Her work involves a process where she initially develops a clay or plaster model, which is then used to create a mould in which to cast the final product. The objects produced in her workshop are characteristic in that they must fit in and interact with other objects in the home without drawing undue attention to themselves, while at the same time performing a range of functions.Her ceramics are sold from Keramikbutikken at Blågårds Plads in Copenhagen, which she runs with her colleague Dorthe Hybel, and from a series of galleries in Denmark including Illums Bolighus and Designer Zoo, The Danish Museum of Decorative Art, Galleri Nørby and Stilleben, all in Copenhagen, as well as shops in London, Paris, Norway and Sweden. Over the years, Jørgensen has participated in many exhibitions both in Denmark and abroad.
