SignLingo Bags

SignLingo is a series of printed nosebags and tea cosies with clear communica-tive messages. The series focuses on various concrete depictions of symbols and signs. The products are made of cotton and printed with black or pink/ white/red symbols in a rhythmic course.

Vibeke Rohland

b. 1957, Danish Textile Designer

Rohland studied art history for four years, before enrolling at the School of Decorative Art in Copenhagen. She graduated from the textile department in 1986 and since then, has worked for a range of prominent clients. As a textile designer, she worked for ESPRIT’s European division and for agnes b in Paris. In her latest works, you notice a clear and analytical approach to the use of pat-terns, where objects and form elements are perceived as a sign language that contains strong visual messages. Very aptly, she calls the textile series SignLingo and the products from this collection have now been produced as a range of everyday textiles in a limited edition.
