Dustpan ChairThe Dustpan Chair is made of form-stretched wood and steel. The seat is shaped like a dustpan and supported by a varnished steel frame that comes in either yellow or white. The chair is part of myprivatehomecollection -a collection of furniture and objects for the home that interprets symbols and archetypes from the private habitat. |
Karen Kjærgaard
b. 1960, Danish Architect
Kjærgaard is a graduate of Aarhus School of Architecture. In her latest works, she has interpreted various objects from the home and placed the products in a new context – in what she describes as a collection with a sense of humour. For example, she takes a scrubbing sponge and gives it the shape of a bed. Also, the plunger and the dustpan are treated with love as she greets a new era of domestic work with interpretations of those tools that are traditionally associated with the housewife. |
