Alongside celebrated examples of production pieces designed and made by the craftspeople and designers in their workshops, Crafts Collection 15 features a special section dedicated to prototypes.

Prototypes represent the most avant-garde form of design practice. Halfway between the craftsperson’s and designer’s initial sketch and the final product, prototypes have long shown craftspeople and designers at their most experimental. Focusing on both one-offs and prototypes in the collection will open up new business opportunities for designers and also offer a fascinating window into the design and making process.
